Clinton, Ind. - Sarah L. "Midge" Moody, 90, of Clinton and formerly of Newport, Indiana, passed away at 10:02 p.m. EDT Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at Clinton Gardens. She was born December 25, 1925 in Bono, Indiana, the daughter of the late Frank and Bessie A. (Walter) Williamson. She married Donald E. Moody, Sr. on March 28, 1942 in Newport, Indiana. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1994. Survivors include two sons, Donald E. (Nikki) Moody, Jr. of Newport, Indiana and Franklin E. (Elia) Moody of Greencastle, Indiana; five grandchildren, Scott (Ruth) Moody; Donna (Dwayne) Ramsey; Page (Neil Crider) Craft; Sheri Moody-Byrne and Buffy Wilson; seven great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; special friends, Erma (Frank) Yerdon; Madeline (Bob) Johnston-Backlinie and family; Ed (Sharon) Conrad and several other special friends. Sarah was preceded in death by two brothers, Raymond and Johnny Williamson. Sarah was a seamstress. She last worked as a custodian at the former Newport Elementary School. She was a member of the Newport United Methodist Church, Newport American Legion Auxiliary Post #184, D.A.V. #83 in Brandon, Florida, National Order of Alley Cats - Navy Mother's Club of Tampa, Florida and the Perrysville Chapter #302 O.E.S. Sarah enjoyed sewing, gardening, tending her yard, roller skating, which she and her husband Donald won many dancing competition and volunteering her time to teach Newport children how to swim. Funeral services: 1 p.m. EDT Monday, April 25, 2016 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Rev. Jon Overbey; Burial: Georgetown Cemetery in Georgetown, Illinois; Visitation: 2 to 6 p.m. EDT Sunday, April 24, 2016 at the funeral home.
