Covington, Ind, - Sarah Jane Hayden, 79, of Covington, went to be with her Lord at 12:09 p.m. EDT Sunday, May 24, 2015 at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Indiana. She was born July 24, 1935 in Cayuga, Indiana, the daughter of the late Dock F. and Lucy M. Hold Walters. Jane was formerly married to the late Tom Weir. She later married Calvin Hayden on December 17, 1978 in Covington, Indiana. He preceded her in death on May 26, 2001. Survivors include her children, Randy Weir of Cayuga, Indiana; Donna(Frank)Allen of Kingman, Indiana and Brenda(Ernest)Woods of Terre Haute, Indiana; step children, Bill(Christa)Hayden of North Carolina; Daryl Hayden of Maryland and Maryann(Terry)Jessee of Florida; Fiancee`, Gerald Hinman of Covington, Indiana; thirteen grandchildren, Nicole Snodgrass and her daughter, Regan; Danielle Homsangpradit and her husband, Brian; Michele and her husband, John and their son, Rob; Shannon Lewis Black and her husband Shannon and their children, Bethany, Rachel, Grace, Craig and Hunter; Kyle Allen and his wife, Erin and their daughter, Tristin; Janita Reath and her husband, Gary; Scott Allen and his wife Jana and their children, Jenayah; Whitney and Sam; Daniel Allen and his wife, Tracy and their children, Desiree; Danielle, Chase and Abby; Darrin Allen and his wife, Lori and their daughter, Audrey; Helen Hayden; Hunter Hayden; Chris Jessee and Daniel Jessee and one sister, Carolyn J.(Jimmy)Morgan of Silverwood, Indiana. Jane was preceded in death by four brothers. Jane worked for 25 years and retired in 1996 as a supervisor of housekeeping and linen at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville, Illinois. She attended Cayuga High School. Sarah was a member and the organist of the First Church of Christ in Covington, Indiana, Troy Chapter #145 O.E.S., past Indiana Grand Organist O.E.S., past President of the Past Grand Organist, Covington Senior Citizens, Cayuga American Legion Unit 263 and the Red Hat Society. Jane enjoyed traveling and playing for her own enjoyement and would even play at the Veterans Administration Illiana Health Care System, The Waters of Covington, area senior citizen centers and weddings. Funeral services: 10 a.m. EDT Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Bill Cook and Pastor Keith Klossner; Burial: Miller Cemetery near Lodi, Indiana; Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. EDT Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at the funeral home with O.E.S. memorial services starting at 7:30 p.m. EDT.
