Sarah E. Wheeler

Westville, Ill. -- Sarah E. Wheeler, 85, of Westville, passed away at 5:23 p.m. CST Saturday, December 4, 2010 at the Hawthorne Inn of Danville. She was born July 24, 1925 in Fairmount, Illinois, the daughter of the late Clifford J. and Ethel Banta Nichols. She married Chester Wheeler on April 13, 1946 in Georgetown, Illinois. He preceded her in death on July 1, 1995. Survivors include one daughter, Connie(Troy)Pennington of Cropsy, Illinois; three sons, Roger Wheeler and Steve(Jean)Wheeler both of Danville, Illinois; Jeff(Lisa)Wheeler of Chrisman, Illinois; 8 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; one sister, Barbara Richardson of Ridge Farm, Illinois; one brother, Jimmy(Karen)Nichols of Ridge Farm, Illinois. She was preceded in death by five sisters and four brothers. Sarah was a homemaker. She was a 1946 graduate of Ridge Farm High School. Sarah enjoyed playing BUNCO, sewing and quilting. Graveside services and burial: 2 P.M. (Illinois Time) Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at Crown Hill Cemetery in Ridge Farm, Illinois; Officiating: Dustin Wells. There will be no visitation.
