Danville - Sarah Elizabeth (Smith) Boswell passed away on June 19, 2017 in Hoopeston, Illinois. Sarah was born February 3, 1930 in Danville to the late Willard Burns Smith and Sarah Blanche (Moon) Smith. On July 11, 1947 Sarah married Robert Dale Boswell, they spent 60 years together until his passing in 2007. Sarah is survived by her children; Susan Tabels, Julie (Ed) York, Connie (Don) Casey, Robert Boswell, Mark Boswell and Charles Boswell, thirteen grandchildren and twenty three great-grandchildren. Sarah is preceded in death by her great-granddaughter Lilliana Grace. Sarah worked in retail for many years at Elder Beerman in Danville and was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. She spent the last year of her life at the Heritage Health of Hoopeston. Sarah loved it there, she always said they "treated her like a Queen." She made many friends that year especially Marie (Ma) Brown who became her "Best" friend. Sarah will be greatly missed by many. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in Sarah's name to St. Paul's Catholic Church in Danville. A celebration of Sarah's life will be held at 2:00 pm, Friday, June 23, 2017 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N Vermilion in Danville. A visitation will be held an hour prior starting at 1 pm. Entombment will be at Resurrection Cemetery, 818 Wendt Ave, Danville, Il. 61832.
