Sandy Pankow

Sandy K. Pankow, age 45, of Danville passed away at 8:14 pm on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at Rush-Presbyterian Hospital in Chicago. She was born December 20, 1961 in Danville the daughter of Stan M. and Clarice J. (Johnson) Smith. She married Bill Pankow on September 12, 1981 in Danville. He survives. Other survivors include: two daughters: Amy Nicole (Mike Stark) Pankow and Ashley Marie Pankow both of Danville, two brothers: Mick Smith of Danville, Tony (Cristi) Smith of Ripon, Wisconsin; one sister: Teri (Scott) Kinney of Danville; one grandson: Logan Michael Stark of Danville; and two special friends: Annette (Darrin) Hillard of Danville and Anita (Phil) Howie of Danville. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Sandy worked as a medical secretary for ten years at the Polyclinic in Danville. She then took some time off to raise her children. She worked at the VA Illiana Health Care System in Danville for 8 years. Sandy enjoyed doing needle point, drawing and other crafts, boating and fishing. She liked candles and loved watching her grandson. She was a past member of the Lincoln Methodist Church of Danville.
