Sandra S. Cawthon

Gessie, Ind. -- Sandra S. Cawthon, 70, of Gessie, passed away at 7:20 a.m. EDT Wednesday, October 6, 2010 at Union Hospital Clinton in Clinton, Indiana. She was born January 12, 1940 in Danville, Illinois, the daughter of the late Fred and Hazel Smith Bahls. She married James D. Cawthon on October 25, 1959 in Danville, Illinois. He survives. Other survivors include her daughter, Amber(Chris)Rudolph of Gessie, Indiana; son, Mark(Dee)Cawthon of Perrysville, Indiana; four grandchildren, Dustin Cawthon; Matthew Rudolph; Alannah Rudolph and Garreth Cawthon; sister, Barbara Tuttle of Veedersburg, Indiana; brother, David(Karen)Bahls of Cayuga, Indiana. Sandra was also a beloved Aunt to Kim, Amanda and Katie. Sandra was a homemaker. She attended the Cayuga Christian Church and was a 1958 graduate of Perrysville High School. She enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, taking care of her home and spending time with her grandchildren. Funeral services: 11 a.m. EDT Saturday, October 9, 2010 at DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana; Officiating: Bob Fairchild; Burial: Hopewell Cemetery, Gessie, Indiana; Visitation: 4 to 8 p.m. EDT Friday, October 8, 2010 at the funeral home.
