Sandra Lynn Jones

Sandra Lynn Jones, 70, of Danville, passed away at 12:15am, Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Presence USMC, Danville. She was born on April 18, 1947, the daughter of Frank and Bonnie{Yount} Crawford. She was united in marriage to Jay Jones on July 29, 1967, in Danville. He will miss her dearly. She will also be missed by: her son, Doug (Salena) Jones of Westville; her daughter, Tracy (Eric) Jordan of Westville; her grandchildren, Madison, Elijah, & Ean Jones, Thomas, Noah, & Emily Jordan; her many nieces & nephews; and her dog, Buster. She was preceded in death by: her parents; one brother, Gary Crawford; and her granddaughter, Gracie Joy Jones. Sandra had attended beauty school and owned her own shop. She later worked at Kmart and made a home for her children. She enjoyed gardening, camping, crafts, crocheting, and reading. She also was an Avon consultant and a member of the Westville American Legion Auxiliary Post #51. She enjoyed writing letters to friends and family. Sandra loved her family and cherished her grandchildren. She will be remembered by all who loved her. A celebration of Sandra's life will be held at 2:00pm, Sunday, October 29, 2017, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S. State St., Westville, with Pastor Kent Pitcher officiating. Visitation will be held 12:00pm to 2:00pm on Sunday prior to her service at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery.
