Sandra Lynn Hobick

Born January 10, 1941 in Danville, Illinois, Sandy spent her childhood growing up in Oakwood. Sandy married Guy Allan Hobick May 31, 1959 and they began their new life together on the farm in Fithian. Guy and Sandy farmed and raised their two children Kim and Josh in Fithian until 1986 when they moved to Newtown. Sandy enjoyed working in her flower garden, caring for the hummingbirds, and spending time with her family. She had two specific loves in her life, her husband Guy and her Savior Jesus Christ. Sandy and Guy enjoyed every minute of their life together. Their love was encouraging and contagious. She is survived by her husband Guy; daughter Kim; son Josh and wife Melissa; three grandchildren, Jessica Miller and husband Seth; Keenan, and Alexandria and one great-grandchild, Ella Miller; and one sister Sue Oakwood. Sandy was able to return home from the hospital and spend her last days peacefully enjoying her friends and family. Sandy frequently expressed how much love she felt as she received flowers, cards, food, visits, and phone calls and especially prayers. Guy is thankful that God has trusted him to take care of Sandy for the last 48 years and is looking forward to worshiping God next to her one day. Sandy loved her family and was a living example of Christ. Sandy went home to be with Jesus, February 24, 2008. We will miss her dearly.
