Sandra Lynn Ferguson

Sandra Lynn Ferguson, 79, of Mahomet passed away on Saturday, July 15, 2023. She was born in Pittsburgh, PA on July 20, 1943, the daughter of Arthur and Betty Billiter Aston.

Sandra is survived by her sons, Darrin (Amy) Fox and Kevin (Lydia Lazits) Fox; grandchildren, Darrin Jr., Daniel, Laura, Anna; sister-in-law, Sharon Aston; nephew David Aston; and niece, April Aston.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Ricky Ferguson, parents, Arthur and Betty, and brother Arthur Aston Jr.

Sandra grew up in the San Fernando Valley area in CA. She worked as a preschool teacher for several years before beginning her career first as a bank teller at UCB Bank, and then working her way up to manager at Litton Systems. In her spare time she enjoyed fishing, bowling with her friends, and watching NASCAR. Sometimes she would watch with her brother Art, her late husband Rick, or even her sons.

A memorial service celebrating Sandras life will take place on Monday, July 24th, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Sunset Funeral Home, located at 1102 Churchill Road in Mahomet with Rev. Lutz Braunig officiating.
