Sandra Kay “Sandy” Jarling, 69, passed away at her home in Urbana IL earlier this week. She was born on July 23, 1944 in Danville IL. to John and Eloise (Zander) Jarling. Sandy leaves behind her sisters Susan (Fred) Snyder of Fort Wayne IN. and Sylvia (Steve) Cook of St. Cloud MN.; niece Paula (Jeff) Kanning; nephews Matthew (Brandy) Snyder, Kenny (Danielle) Snyder, John (Julie) Cook and Mike (Ann) Cook, great-nieces Emily, Sarah and Zoey; great-nephews Brock, Josh, Braeden, Ryan and Elliot; and her close friend Betty (Bill) Schneider. She was preceded in death by her parents and her nephew Steve Snyder. Sandy graduated from the Concordia Teachers College with a bachelors degree. She was a proud member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed the many friendships she formed throughout her life. Sandy liked to go on vacation and if possible would have made Disneyworld her home. She loved spending time with her family, especially all her nieces and nephews, and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her. A celebration of Sandys life will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday August 18, 2013 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Danville IL. with Pastor Kent Tibben officiating. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday at Trinity Lutheran Church. Entombment will take place at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville IL. at 11:00 am on Monday August 19, 2013. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville is handling arrangements. Memorials may be made in Sandys name to the American Diabetes Association or the Danville Lutheran School. Condolences may be left at www.sunsetfuneralhome.com
