Sally S. Richards, 72, of Danville, passed away at 2:00 a.m. on Monday, May 7,2007 at Provena U.S.M.C. Logan Campus. Sally was born May 20,1934 in Danville the daughter of Willis D. and Mildred A. Wickman Tyler. On February 21,1954 she married Kenneth R. Richards in Covington,In. She is survived by her husband Kenneth; daughter Alice Sobotka of Evansville,In.; granddaughter Maggie Sobtka of Washington,D.C.; brother Tom Tyler and dear friend Rosie Moore both of Danville: step son Jay and his wife Peggy Richie of Danville and their children Jason, Pam, Ty and Jared;and a dear friend Rosie Moore of Danville. She was preceded by her parents. Sally retired from the Secretary of State Driver License Facility after 22 years. She was a member of the Women of the Moose since 1960. Sally and Ken participated in field trial dog racing for 52 years, racing and raising many litters of puppies. She also enjoyed flea markets and yard sales, shopping and especially the gambling trips and cruises that she and Kenneth would take. Her family meant everything to her and she will be deeply missed. A celebration of Sallys life will be held on Thursday, May 10,2007 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center at 10:00 a.m.. Visitaiton will be held on Wednesday from 4-7:00 p.m. with Women of the Moose Ritual at 6:30 p.m. Interment Springhill Cemetery.
