Thelma Marie Sally Knoll, 76, of Danville, IL passed away November 3, 2006 at her residence. She was born April 7, 1930 in Danville daughter of Orville C. and Cecelia (Brown) Meeker. She married Maurice Knoll on November 7, 1948 in Danville. He preceded her in death. Survivors include: daughter: Luann Knoll of Euless, TX, Son: Steve Knoll (Karla) of Danville, Grandchildren: Jay Meeker (Mary), Jennifer Knoll, Maurissa Knoll, and Tyler Knoll, Great Grandchildren: Jasmine & Lilly Meeker. Sisters: Ilene Kibbee of Bakersfield, CA, and Clarie Harris (Charles) of Fresno, CA. Sister-in-laws: Jean Meeker and Betty Meeker. A special Thanks to all her friends that shared their time with her. She was preceded in death by her parents, infant son Ronald Lee Knoll and three brothers: Tom, John, and Pete Meeker, brother-in-law Elwin Kibbee. Sally was a 1948 graduate of Henning High School and was a dedicated homemaker that worked beside her husband on the family farm. She was a member of the Old Union Church, Henning Haymakers, and Snyder Homemakers club and was known for her homemade noodles. She enjoyed square dancing, raising chickens, working with her flowers and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. A Celebration of Sallys life will be held at 10:00 am November 7, 2006 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center; 3940 N. Vermilion Street in Danville, with Miles Clark officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8 pm Monday evening at the funeral Home. Burial will be at Johnson cemetery in Danville. Memorials may be made to Crossroads Christian Church.
