Danville - Sally A. Eck, 73, of Danville passed away at 9:40 AM on Sunday, April 28, 2013 at The Waters of Covington. She was born on September 6, 1939 in Danville to Clarence and Mary Runyan Hoskins. She was married to her husband of 55 years, Junior "JR" H. Eck. He preceded her in death on May 6, 2011. She is survived by her three children, Helen (Harold) Hegg of Covington, IN, Rick (Renate) Eck of Oakwood, and Michelle (Michael) Bransford of Hillsboro, MO; two brothers, Robert "Butch" Hoskins of Danville and Ronald Hoskins of Arkansas; a sister, Sue (Jerry) Guthrie of Danville; three grandchildren, Kimberly (Eric) Koven of Bolingbrook, and Megan and Mary Bransford of Hillsboro, MO; a great-grandson Jack Henry Koven, and one on the way Dylan Christopher Koven; and a special cousin Gloria Haskins. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant son Timothy, a brother, and special friend, Barbara Miller. Sally had worked as a cosmetician for Walgreen's Drugs in Danville, from which she retired. Her true passion was gardening. She loved working in her flower beds and had won several local awards for her gardens. Per Sally's wishes, all services will be private. Entombment will be next to her husband at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials in her name may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home in Danville is in charge of arrangements.
