Sage Crawford

Sage Crawford, 24, of Danville passed away on March 21, 2011. Sage was born on June 7, 1986 in Danville, Illinois son of Todd Crawford and Denise and Doug Ahrens. Survivors include his parents, two sisters: Laney Crawford and Marah Ahrens, and brother C.J. Ahrens; grandparents Frank and Pat Pichon, Lloyd and Sue Crawford, Chuck and Mary Kay Ahrens, Annette Wynn, and John Henry, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Judy Henry and his grandfather Thomas Wynn. Sage graduated from Oakwood High School where he was active in many schools where he was active in many sports. He was currently working at Central Illinois scale Co. He enjoyed playing softball in a summer league and spending time with his family, his fianc(c)e Nicole Steele and their pets. He took pride in efforts to rescue local dogs and had a special fondness for pit bulls. Sage had a loving heart and never hesitated to express himself with his big smile and bear hugs. He touched many lives and will be missed by all who knew him. A Celebration of Sages Life will be held at 9:30 am, Friday, March 25, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL with Pastor Roger McDaniel officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home.
