Ryan Michael Cerutti

Ryan Michael Cerutti, 39, died unexpectedly on Saturday, July 4, 2026. He was born on April 6, 1987, in Carbondale, Illinois, the son of Michael Crowell and Kimberly Ann Klaman. He grew up in Herrin and Danville, Illinois. He was a 2005 graduate of Danville High School.

Ryan loved all animals and enjoyed working on cars. He worked at Wilson’s Body Shop, Quaker Oats, and Redemption Botanicals. His work “family” meant the world to him. Ryan enjoyed vacationing in Florida with his family. Ryan was the Dallas Cowboys number one fan. He has followed the Dallas Cowboys since grade school. Didn’t matter win or lose, they were his team!

He married Hilary Marie Welsch on November 2, 2013, at Kennekuk County Park. He was a devoted father to his two daughters, Olivia Ann Cerutti and Ava Ryan Cerutti, who were the lights of his life. Ryan also had one son, Brayden Michael Williams. Ryan loved Brayden and was proud of the young man he has become.

He was very close with his Papa, Harold J. Klaman and so proud of his grandfather’s military service as an Army Air Force bombardier on a B-17 during World War II. He was also proud to have successfully nominated him for recognition on the Veterans’ Wall of Fame at the Kenneth D. Bailey Academy in Danville. In May of 2012 Ryan accompanied his Papa on an Honor Flight for World War II Veterans to Washington, D.C. They shared a once-in-a-lifetime experience seeing all the monuments, Tomb of The Unknown Soldier, The Capitol Building, and The Smithsonian Institution. Doing this with his Papa was one of Ryan’s favorite memories.

Ryan was the light of his Momma’s life. His love for her was beyond measure. They shared their love of animals. They had a daily routine of texting Good Morning, I Love You, Have a great day, while this gesture was small it will leave a Huge Hole that nothing will fill. Ryan loved his Dad, Duane, he was the rock in his life. Ryan turned to his Dad so often for help. Help with plumbing issues. Help when something went wrong. Maybe just to talk. Dad always had a solution, Ryan might have to listen to a story first, but the help was always given with unconditional love.

A co-worker shared the following about Ryan to his mother: “I worked with your son for the last almost year and a half…I just lost my mother a few months ago and he was there to talk to me during that time and never just let me be. I have so much to say as to who I got to know your son to be and the amazing impact he had in a room full of people…”

A kind, thoughtful, and loving Dad, son, brother, grandson, and friend, whose big heart and care of others will be deeply missed.

Ryan is survived by his precious daughters, Olivia and Ava Cerutti; their mother, Hilary Cerutti; his son Brayden Williams; Duane & Kimberly Webber, his Mom and Dad; Gary Cerutti his adoptive Father; his Granny Nancy Willard; his brothers, Earl J. Webber (Ashley) and Andrew J. Webber (Emilie); many nieces and nephews, and a multitude of Friends whose lives he shared and enriched. He also leaves behind his much-loved dogs, cats, and of course his turtles.

He was preceded by Harold J. and Shirley Mauck Klaman, his maternal grandparents; Earl M. Webber and Mary L. Webber, his grandparents; Louis and Margaret Cerutti, his adoptive grandparents; and his grandfather Glen Crowell.
