Ruth Winland

Ruth Katherine Winland, age 91, of Danville, passed away at 12:15 pm on Thursday, January 28, 2010 at North Logan Health Care in Danville. She was born June 4, 1918 in Blount Township in Illinois the daughter of Cleo and Pearl (Phillips) Kizer. She married Charley Winland. He preceded her in death in 1978. Ruth is survived by one son: Clifford Winland of Fairfield, Iowa; a son-in-law: Don Stimac; a half brother: Harry Phillips of Tilton; and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter: Rosalie Stimac, one son: Cleo Winland, and a brother: Donald Kizer. A celebration of life service for Ruth will be held at 10 am Saturday, January 30, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home in Danville with Reverend Kenneth Young officiating.
