Ruth Starr

Danville- Ruth E. Starr, 96, of Danville died at 1:18 PM on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Danville. She was born on April 3, 1914 in Danville to Fred M. and Nellie A. Albert Kagel. She married Orville D. Starr on October 15, 1932 in Covington, IN. He preceded her in death on May 6, 1985. Surviving are one son Virlon D. Starr and his wife Linda of Danville; and two grandchildren, Kim Starr of Indianapolis, IN and Tim Starr of Danville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sisters Mary Busse and Erma Potter. Ruth graduated from Poplar Bluff High School and was a member at Poplar Bluff Methodist Church. Services for Ruth Starr will be private. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville, is in charge of arrangements. Burial will be at Potomac Cemetery.
