Ruth Scott

Ruth M. Scott, 97, of Rantoul, IL died on December 18, 2024 at McLean County Nursing Home, Normal, IL. She was born December 25, 1926 in Delavan, IL, a daughter of Ernest and Lydia (Roudenbush) Meador.  She married Eugene “Scotty” Scott on September 7, 1947 in Bloomington, IL.  He preceded her in death on July 8, 2028. She is survived by a son Louis “Louie” (Gloria) Scott of Ludlow, IL, a daughter Carolyn “Susie” Scott of Rantoul.  Also surviving is a brother Robert Meador of Lincoln, IL. She was preceded in death by a brother James Meador, sisters, Leta Meador; Dorothy Smith and Helen Calhoun and her son Kent. Ruth attended the nursing college at Bradley University.  She enjoyed traveling, hiking bowling and crossword puzzles.  She was a phenomenal seamstress and quilter. No services will be held. Lux Memorial Chapel is handling arrangements.
