Ruth Noggle

GEORGETOWN - Ruth Noggle, 91, of Georgetown, passed away at 6:30am, December 27th, 2005, in Columbus, IN. She was born September 15th, 1914, near Newport, Indiana, the daughter of Wilbert and Iva (Jones) Downs. She married Forrest Noggle on February 14th, 1937, in Dana, IN. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by one sister-Frances Belser, two brothers-Lowell Downs and Own Downs, and one infant granddaughter. She is survived by: her seven children, Vernal (Patricia) Noggle of Georgetown, Violet (Roy) Pintar of Georgetown, Larry (Susan) Noggle of Mount Vernon, IL, Ronald (Linda) Noggle of Georgetown, Rex (Diane) Noggle of Cayuga, IN, Edwin (Debra) Noggle of Greenville, IL, and Diane (John) Miller of Columbus, IN; one brother, Arley (Louise) Downs of Dana, IN; two sisters, Grace Elliott of Dana, IN, and Melba (John) McGuire of Roachdale, IN; seventeen grandchildren; and twenty great grandchildren. She was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Georgetown, where she enjoyed playing the piano. Her hobbies included gardening, growing flowers, and cooking for her family. A celebration of Ruths life is scheduled for 10:00am Friday, December 30th, 2005, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home in Georgetown. Visitation will be 4-7pm on Thursday, December 29th, 2005, at the funeral home. Officiating will be Joe Humrichous. She will be laid to rest at Forest Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
