Ruth Koss

Ruth Koss, 72, of Westville, IL passed away at 5:08 AM on September 28, 2024 at Goldwater Care in Danville, IL.

Ruth was born on November 11, 1951 the daughter of Earl and Ruth (Rogers) Snook in Danville, IL.

Survivors include her siblings, Charles (Susan) Koss of Sidell, IL, Connie Weidenburner of Georgetown, IL, Reba (Don) Haun of Westville, IL and Treva (Jim) Simmons of Sidell, IL, and special nephew, Eli Lete of Bloomington, IN. Ruth is also survived by several other nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Frank Koss, Richard Koss, and James Koss.

Ruth graduated from Jamacia High School and worked as a Nursing Assistant at the Illiana Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Danville, IL for many years. She enjoyed spending her free time bowling on Bowling Leagues for many years, reading, gardening, working crossword puzzles, watching Westerns and Hallmark movies and loved taking care of her dogs, “A.C.”, “B.C.”, “J.C.” and Hattie.

A Private Celebration of Life will be held, and entombment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
