Ruth Ilene Patton

Ruth Ilene (Dines) Patton Ruth Ilene Patton, 89, of Danville IL., passed away at 3:44 pm on December 19, 2013 at Colonial Manor with family by her side. Ruth was born on September 9, 1924 in Danville, the daughter of Ralph and Ercel (Watson) Dines. She married Wendell Patton on June 1, 1946 in Fithian Il. He preceded her in death. Surviving is one step-son Ronald (Judy) Patton of Plainfield IN.; one brother Ronald Dines of Danville; four sisters Beverly Mills of Bismarck, Carolyn Pichon of Bismarck, Linda (Jack) Smith of Danville, and Sandra (Larry) Steinbaugh of Alvin; six grandchildren and; thirteen great- grandchildren; also numerous nieces and nephews. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, one step-son Donald Patton; six brothers John, Ralph, Gerald, Max, Donald, and Larry Dines; one sister Barbra Clapp. Ruth enjoyed going out to eat with family, reading a good book, and cooking for loved ones. A Celebration of Ruths life will be held at 4:00 pm on December 22, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville with Pastor William Carpenter officiating. A Visitation will be held at the funeral home on December 22 from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Greenwood IN. at a later date. The family of Ruth asks that memorials be made to The American Heart Association in her name.
