Ruth G. Bevan, 87, of Danville, passed away at 8:35 p.m. Saturday, January 1, 2005, at Provena United Samaritan Medical Center. She was born to Thurman and Cecile Shrout on March 27, 1917 in Georgetown, IL. Ruth was first married to Alex Chrostowski then Charles Bevan on October 13, 1962 who preceded her in death December 1993. Ruth is survived by five sons, Stanley (Erna) Chrostowski of Hollandale, WI; William (Jackie) Chrostowski of Tilton; Richard Chrostowski of Westville; Gerald (Barbara) Chrostowski of Newburgh, IN; Donald Chrostowski of Algonquin Shores, IL; 22 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Blanche Dunavan of Georgetown and Vivian Shrout of Springfield; one brother, Robert Shrout of Georgetown. She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, one son, one grandson, five brothers and four sisters. Ruth was retired from General Electric in 1974. She was a member of South Side Church of the Nazarene in Tilton. She was also a founder and charter member of the First Church of the Nazarene in San Mateo, FL along with her husband Harry. She loved her family, grandchildren and church. All that knew her will miss her loving ways and smiles.
