Ruth Del Valley

Ruth E. (Payne) (Bussard) Del Valley, 96, of Covington, IN went home to be with the Lord on January 31, 2015 at the Waters of Covington Nursing Home. She was born on November 23, 1918 in Linton, IN, the daughter of Ira and Edna (Bedwell) Shake. Ruth was united in marriage on November 8, 1934 to Ralph Payne who preceded her in death in 1957. She then married Guy Bussard in June of 1959 and he preceded her in death in 1965. Ruth then later married Ray Del Valley who also preceded her in death in 2004. She will be deeply missed by her four children; Donn (Doris) Payne of Covington, IN, Patsy Wise of Rancho Murrieta, CA, Peggy (Ray) Wise of Council Grove, KS and Dann (DonElla) Payne of Pulaski, WI. She is also survived by one sister, Carol Gondry of Bradenton, FL, seven stepchildren, ten grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, one brother, four sisters and one grandchild. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Attica, IN for over ten years. Ruth loved to travel, crochet, watch the birds and garden. She lived in Thonotosassa, Fl for 25 years where she loved to fish. Ruth was a loving person who never met a stranger. A celebration of Ruths life will be held on Friday, February 6, 2015 at Sunsets Covington Chapel at 11:00 AM with Bill Nickle and Ken Shear officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM on Thursday, February 5, 2015 at the funeral home. Ruth will be laid to rest at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville, IL. In lieu of flowers the family would like memorials to be made in her name to Grace Baptist Church 1001 S Brady St, Attica, IN 47918.
