Ruth Curry

Ruth Curry, 84, of Danville, passed away at 3:44 PM on July 19, 2012 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Ruth was born August 20, 1927 in Milford, IL, the daughter of Fred and Agatha (Erchinger) Hubner. She married Buford Curry on November 2, 1946 in Milford. He survives. She is survived by one son- Larry(Darlene) Curry of Newburg, OR, two daughters-Sharon (JD) Hawkins of Foley, AL and Diane (John) Wallace of Carmel, IN, two brothers- Don (LaVerne) Hubner of Milford and Fred (Myrna) Hubner of Hoopeston, one sister-Gertrude Wade of Milford, six grandchildren, five great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son-David Curry and three half sisters. Ruth graduated from Milford High School. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she was a cook at the Immanuel Lutheran School for many years. Ruth enjoyed cooking, gardening and especially reading. A Celebration of Ruth's Life will be held on Monday, July 23, 2012 at 10:00 AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Danville with Pastors Daniel Fienen and Larry Bell officiating. A visitation will be held from 2:00-5:00 PM on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Milford. Memorials can be made in Ruth's name to the Immanuel Lutheran School in Danville.
