Ruth Curry

Ruth Curry, 93, of Danville, IL passed away on May 10, 2014 at her home. She was born June 30, 1920 in Danville, the daughter of William and Lydia (Allen) Longer. She married John F. Curry on July 4, 1952 in Covington, IN, he preceded her in death in 1972. She will be missed by son, John F. “Fritz” (Kay) Morgan of Tilton; daughter; Cindy C. Curry of Westville; grandchildren, Sandy L. Warren, Judy L. Scott of Webster, TX; great-grandchildren, Blake and Shelby Warren of Fithian, IL; Peyton, Preston and Patrick Scott of Webster TX; Tyler and Chase Ledoux of Tifton, GA. Preceding Ruth in death are her parents; husband; daughter, Lindy F. Curry; sisters, Frances McNeese, Catheryne E. Bahls; nephews, Bill and Larry McNeese. Ruth enjoyed playing the organ, watching NASCAR, crossword puzzles and playing cards. She was a member of the Eastern Star and AARP. Ruth was a loving mother to all her family. The family would like to express their thanks to Presence Hospice and White Star Home Health Agency and caregiver, Karen Calvin, for their compassion and dedicated care to Ruth. A Celebration of Ruths life will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville with Pastor Bill Nickle. Visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials can be made in her name to the charity of the donors choice.
