Ruth Brown, 90, of Danville, passed away at 2:27pm on Tuesday June 3, 2008 at Provena USMC Logan Campus. Ruth was born on August 9, 1917 in Danville the daughter of Albrecht A. and Ida B. Schultz Brown. Ruth was a lifelong member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she had taught Sunday school and served on the finance board. Member of the Euchre Club, volunteered at Meals on Wheels and the Eunice Society. She worked at Recording and Statistical Corp, and later Interstate Printing & Publishing retiring in 1984. Ruth was the dearest aunt of Linda Brown of Hallsville, Mo., Gregory Brown of Carbondale, Il., and Peter (Valeria) Brown of Moreno Valley, Ca. great aunt of Jacob and Kelly Brown; fond cousin of Helen Jenkins, and Mary (Jack) York all of Danville; Paul Thiede of Austin, Tx., Al Thiede of Savoy, Il., Judy and Stacie Kushner of Georgetown, Ky. and Dan Jenkins of Madison, Wi. Special friend of Diana Lewis. Her parents and brothers Robert Brown and Wilmer (Beulah) Brown preceded her. A celebration of Ruths life will be held on Friday June 6, 2008 at Trinity Lutheran Church at 11:00am. Burial will follow at the Lutheran Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday June 5, 2008 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center from 4-7:00pm and at the church on Friday from 10:30 until time of service.
