Ruth Bonebrake

Ruth Bonebrake, 81, of Georgetown, passed away at 7:10pm, Sunday, February 10, 2019, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, Danville. She was born on August 16, 1937, in Georgetown, the daughter of William and Ruth {Sheppard} Jones, both deceased. On December 11, 1954, she was wed to Walter Bonebrake, they later divorced, but remained close and he will miss her dearly.

Ruth is survived by: her sons, Bill (Brenda) Bonebrake & Steve (Kelly) Bonebrake, both of Georgetown; her grandchildren, Nicole Lynn (Steven) Poggendorf, Lindsay Marie Bonebrake, & Jessica Raeann Bonebrake; and her great grandchildren, Madison Marie Talbert, Annalese Rodriguez, Evie Poggendorf, & McKinlee Rasor. She was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Dean Jones.

Ruth attended Georgetown Schools. She was also a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Georgetown. Being a librarian was very much a part of Ruths life that she much loved. She also enjoyed reading, flower gardening, and going for walks. Above all, Ruth loved her family and spending time with them.

A celebration of Ruths life will be held at 2:00pm, Wednesday, February 13, 2019, at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Georgetown located at 200 E West Street. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to her service on Wednesday at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery.
