Ruth Anne Drummond

Lafayette, Ind. - Ruth Anne Drummond, 77, of Lafayette and formerly of Covington, Indiana, passed away at 4:20 a.m. EDT Monday, July 10, 2017 at Franciscan Health Lafayette East in Lafayette, Indiana.

She was born April 30, 1940 the daughter of the late Mary Marguerite (Wever) Stine and William Orval Warren.

Ruth Anne married W. Marvin Drummond on June 21, 1959 in Covington, Indiana. He preceded her in death on February 3, 2001.

Survivors include her three sons, Bob (Angie) Drummond of Congersville, Illinois; Randy (Tina) Drummond of Covington, Indiana and Jerry (Regina) Drummond of Lafayette, Indiana; nine grandchildren, Eric; Travis; Brittany; Tanya; Bryce; Mariah; Josh; Peyton and Ezekial; three great grandchildren, Keith; Amber and Kiera, and one brother, Scott (Beth) Stine of Virginia.

Ruth Anne was a nurse at the former Lakeview Hospital in Danville, Illinois and last worked at The Waters of Covington before retiring. She formerly attended the Stringtown Church of God south of Covington, Indiana. Ruth Anne was a 1958 graduate of Perrysville High School and later graduate from the Lakeview School of Nursing in Danville. She enjoyed playing cards and watching the Pittsburg Steelers. Ruth Anne especially enjoyed spending time with her friends and family.

Cremation was accorded. A Celebration of Life and gathering of friends and family will be held Saturday, July 15, 2017 from 1 p.m. EDT until 3 p.m. EDT at the Stringtown Church of God south of Covington, Indiana. Burial of cremains will be private and held at a later date at Coal Creek Cemetery south of Covington, Indiana. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana assisted the family with arrangements.
