Russell Mcmillan

Russell F. McMillan, 77, of Coconut Creek, FL., formerly of Danville, went to be with the Lord, at 5:15 am Tuesday July 6, 2004 at Provena USMC Logan Campus. Russell was born December 25, 1926 in Danville, IL the son of the late Roy Forrest and Cornelia "Peggy" (Jackson) McMillan. Russell married Thelma Osborne, on September 6, 1947 in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. she survives, of Coconut Creek, FL. Other survivors include, 1 son Russell F. (Tish) McMillan Jr. of Westville, 1 daughter Pamella (Paul) Plunkett of Bright, IN. 1 brother, Minister Larry (Roberta) McMillan of Oxford, IN. 1 daughter in law Angela Cole-McMillan of Ft Lauderdale, FL., 9 grandchildren, Adam McMillan of Orlando, FL, Heather (Dustin) Mattern of Libertyville, IL. Matthew (Jessica) Plunkett of Cincinnati, OH. Rebekah (Frank) Wenz of Marcy, NY, Aaron Plunkett, and Rachel Plunkett, both of Bright, IN. Don Clay McMillan II, Alan McMillan, and Gary Cole, all of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. 5 Great-grandchildren, Taylor Kaake, Cailee and Gabrielle Plunkett, Dylon Wenz and Dan Clay McMillan III. 1 son Dan Clay McMillan I, preceded his father in death. Russell was a graduate of Danville High School and the Cincinnati Bible Seminary. Russell served his country in the Army National Guard. Russell worked for over 25 years and retired in the late 70's from General Motors Central foundry in Tilton. Russell served as a Church of Christ Minister for Hooton Church of Christ and the Hoopeston Church of Christ. Russell was on the Steering and Founding Committee for Pleasant Meadows Christian Village in Chrisman, IL. Russell was a member of Margate Christian Church in Margate, FL. Russell was a devoted Husband Father and Grandfather. Russell enjoyed both fishing and "fishing for men".
