Russell Jones

Danville - Russell Jones, 91, of Danville, passed away on Wednesday November 27, 2013 at Presence United Samaritans Medical Center. He was born July 16, 1922 in Hildreth, IL the son of Gilbert and Marie Elkins Jones. He was married to Marden Snack on July 13, 1946 in Danville she survives. He is survived by his two sons Larry (Rhonda) Jones, and Randy (Constance) Jones; his brother Donald (Carolyn) Jones of Tilton, IL; and his grandchildren Larry Russell Jones Jr. of Ashland, MO and Kalee (Kenneth) Cooper of Danville, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters Marcella, Almalee, and Glenajean. Russell was an avid wood worker he even created a grandfather clock that still works to this day. He worked at Conron INC for 42 years, he started as a truck driver and he slowly moved up the ranks at Conron and retired as the warehouse foreman. Above all else Russell loved his family, and he will be sorely missed by anyone who was fortunate enough to have known him. A Graveside service celebrating Russells life will be held at 10am on Monday December 02, 2013 at Sunset Memorial Park.
