Covington, Ind. -- Russell Eugene Huffman, 70, of Covington, Indiana, passed away at 7:47 p.m. EDT Wednesday(July 11, 2007) at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born May 6, 1937, in Bismarck, Illinois, the son of the late Luster M. and Florence Moss Huffman. He married Margaret Babb on August 24, 1984 in Covington, Indiana. She survives. Other survivors include: two sons, Leonard(Connie)Huffman of Rossville, Illinois and Loren(Kimberly)Huffman of Cloverdale, Indiana; two daughters, Cheryl(Jim)Parrott of Kokomo, Indiana and Pam(Dean)Schimanski of St. Peters, Missouri; one step daughter, Janice(Ron)Wise of Olivet, Illinois; six grandchildren and one brother, George(Jean)Huffman of Danville, Illinois. He was preceded in death by two sisters. Russell was a retired farmer. He served with the National Guard from 1957 until 1964. He was a member of the 1ST Assembly of God Church in Covington, Indiana and the Black Hat Society. Russell enjoyed mowing his yard. Funeral services: 2 p.m. EDT Monday, July 16, 2007 at the First Assembly of God Church in Covington, Indiana; Officiating: Pastor Mark McMinn; Burial: Walnut Corner Cemetery south of Bismarck, Illinois; Visitation: 1 p.m. EDT until time of services Monday, July 16, 2007 at the church.
