Russell Bill W. Silvey, 74, of Danville, passed away at 11:50am, Thursday, October 8, 2009, at his home. He was born on April 21, 1935, in Danville, IL, the son of Russell and Margaret (Watt) Silvey. He was wed to Joan Stimbroski in Danville until her passing on September 20, 1990. He will be missed by: his son, Carl (Tina) Silvey of Danville; his grandchildren, Michelle Silvey of Peoria, IL, & Jason Silvey of Greenville, SC; and his sisters, Connie (Randy) Messenger, Kathy Weidenburner, & Joan (Ray) Silver. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Butch Silvey. Bill was a distributor for Kelly Goods (Kellys Potato Chips). He was an avid fisherman and loved anything to do with fishing. He was a die-hard Cardinals fan, as well as rooted for the Chicago Bears and the Illini. He also enjoyed gardening. A celebration of Bills life will be held at 11:00am, Monday, October 12, 2009, at Sunset-Urbas Funeral Chapel, 414 S State St, Westville with Pastor Jerry Silver officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Sts. Peter & Pauls Cemetery, Westville.
