Ruby Reeves

Ruby May Reeves, 93, of Danville, passed away at 1:20 p.m. Thursday, December 28, 2006 at Colonial Manor Nursing Home in Danville. Ruby was born on April 7, 1913 in Checotah, Oklahoma, the daughter of Robert L. and Rilla (Lyons) McCoy. She married Norman Reeves. He preceded her in death in June of 1986. Ruby is survived by two sisters- Irene Pichon of Danville and Mattie (Charles) Halls of Vaccaville, California; one sister-in-law- Marie McCoy of Danville; and several nieces and nephews. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers- Frank McCoy and Ezra McCoy; and two sisters- Nora Atteberry and Ethel Weller. Ruby was a member of the St. James United Methodist Church in Danville. She spent most of her life as a homemaker. Ruby enjoyed spending her time sewing and quilting. She also enjoyed doing crafts. Ruby enjoyed life. A Tribute to the Life of Ruby May Reeves will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at Sunsets Community and Life Tribute Center with Rev. Kevin Cox officiating.
