Ruby Pearl Morgan

Danville- Ruby Pearl Morgan, 82, of Danville passed away at 8:07 PM on Monday, November 7, 2011 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville. She was born on January 27, 1929 in Jackson, Mississippi to John and Dona Herring Davidson. She married Edgar Morgan on March 28, 1942 in Arkansas. He preceded her in death on September 9, 1999. Surviving are six children, Nancy Mann of New Mexico, James Morgan of Tilton, IL, Marlene Morgan of Tilton, Brenda (Ben) Wimsett of Danville, Rhonda (Kenny) Morgan of Russellville, AR, and Michael (Chrissy) Morgan of Danville; twelve grandchildren, Lisa (Shane) Vest, Mark (Jamie) Thompson, Jimmy (Amy) Morgan, David (Sandy) Morgan, Shelly (Chris) Rice, Keith (Jessie) Thomas, Cody (Melissa) Thomas, Kym (Jason) Kendrick, Shane (Lisa) Morgan, Shawn Morgan, Brandi (Michael) McDonald, and Tawnya Morgan; 26 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren; daughter-in-law Janet Morgan; and special friends Bonnie Hollis and Stephanie Healy. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, son Randy Morgan, grandson Joe Morgan, and great-great granddaughter Mazie Morgan. Ruby enjoyed gardening and flowers and playing 10,000 and spoons. A service to celebrate the life of Ruby Pearl Morgan will be held at 9 AM on Friday, November 11, 2011 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville. Pastor Raymie Gordon will officiate. Burial will follow at Danville National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8PM on Thursday, November 10, also at Sunset in Danville.
