Ruby Marie Cannon, 77, of Georgetown passed away at 5:55am, Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village, Chrisman. She was born in Stateline, IN, to John C. and Ruby Edith {Hagley} Rouse on November 30, 1933. She married George Allen Cannon on July 17, 1954 at St. Patricks Church in Danville, IL. He passed away February 18, 1986. She was a former beauty operator and worked in St. Pete, Florida, and in Danville, IL. She was a member of the First Church of Christ, Georgetown. She enjoyed flowers, reading, sewing, and being with her family. The family would like to give a special thanks to Pleasant Meadows Christian Village. She is survived by: two sons, William Cannon of Georgetown & Bryan (Connie) Cannon of Georgetown; her daughter, Theresa (Richard) Johnson of Georgetown; two grandsons, Davey Cannon of Covington, IN, Billy Cannon of Danville; three granddaughters, Leigha Johnson of Georgetown, Emily Cannon of Georgetown, and Kaela Roberts of Westville; her great grandchildren, Xander, Arianna, William, and Aisha Cannon, two sisters, Frances Barker of Veedersburg, IN, Wilma Phillips of Chrisman, IL; a sister-in-law, Hulda Rouse of Attica, IN She was preceded in death by: her parents; an infant brother, William; two brothers, John and Robert Rouse, a sister, Treva LaFleuer, and an infant grandson, Bryce Allen Johnson on February 9, 1990. A celebration of Rubys life will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Sunsets Houghton-Leasure Funeral Chapel, A Life Celebration Home, Georgetown. Visitation will be from11am-1pm prior to the service. She will be laid to rest in Spring Hill Cemetery, Danville.
