Ruby Grimes

Ruby R. Grimes, 73, of Danville went to meet her Lord on April 18, 2007 at The Waters of Covington. Ruby was born May 2, 1933 in Danville daughter of Lloyd and Ethel Mae Huffman Clark. She married Charles L. Grimes on March 19, 1955 in Danville, IL . He preceded her in March of 2002. She is survived by five children: Stephen (Leah) Clark of Crawfordsville, IN, Charles (Debra) Grimes of Danville, IL, Ricky Ping of Oakwood, IL, Paula (Ralph) Phillips of Dayton, OH, Helena (Michael) Reynolds of Mt. Vernon, IN, 10 Grandchildren, 16 Great grandchildren & great-great granddaughter; and brother James Clark of Covington, IN. Ruby was preceded in death by her parents, two infant daughters and two sisters. Ruby attended Danville schools and was a dedicated and loving homemaker and mother. She enjoyed cooking, playing Euchre & Pinochle and loved to spend time with her family. A Celebration of Rubys Life will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 23, 2007 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center 3940 N. Vermilion St., Danville, IL. Visitation will be held from 2- 4 p.m. Sunday afternoon at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Lower Mound Cemetery in Covington, IN.
