Ruby Mae Campbell, 84, of Danville, went to be with her Lord on July 17, 2006 at 6:00 am. She was born on March 11, 1922 to William and Emma (Gillihan) Balsover in Hamilton County, IL. She graduated from Mt. Vernon Township High School in 1940 with honors. She married Gilbert H. Campbell of Mt. Vernon, IL on June 5, 1942. He preceded her in death on March 8, 1999. She was also preceded in death by a son, Larry G. Campbell in 1992, her parents, two sisters: Bertha Sharer and Bernice Bowles; a brother: john Balsover; and a dear niece: Esther Sharer Borger. She was a long time active member of the Holiday Hills Free Methodist Church of Danville, IL. She was a secretary and bookkeeper for many years, retiring from Tee-Pak, Inc. in 1974. She was an active member of the National Secretaries Association for a number of years. She enjoyed her family, home, and friends immensely. Plants were of interest to her and she found many vacation trips enjoyable. She found fulfillment in doing church projects, especially teaching and volunteering for office help, as well as mission projects. She is survived by a son: Michael Cam Campbell (Christine) of Danville; two granddaughters: Amy (Campbell) Pavlovsky (Jim) of Oxford, North Carolina, meg (Campbell) Yoder (Stan) of Ligonier, Indiana; two great grandsons: Steven and Jack Yoder and a great granddaughter: Sarah Kate Pavlovsky; one brother: Clinton Balsover (Brenda) of Mt. Vernon, IL; three sisters in law: Mary Frances Balsover of Louisville, Kentucky, Wilma Campbell of Mt. Vernon, IL and Ann Campbell of Orlando, Florida; and a number of nieces and nephews.
