Roy Lee Rossiter, 62, of Georgetown, passed away at 9:04am, September 30, 2015, at Presence USMC, Danville. He was born on June 27, 1953, in Danville, the son of Claude Sr and Betty {Carter} Rossiter. He is survived by: his Mother, Betty Craig of Georgetown; his son, Chad (Lisa) Rossiter Sr. of Ridge Farm; his daughter, Valerie Miller of Westville; his grandchildren, Devin Rossiter, Chad Rossiter Jr., Brian Rossiter, Challenge Rossiter, Bruce Rossiter II, Abigayle Rossiter, Ethan Miller, Levi Miller, & Annalynn Johnson; his brothers, Danny Rossiter of Westville, Carl (Stacie) Rossiter of Danville, & Claude Rossiter Jr. of Virginia Beach, VA; his sister, Ruth Ann Pundt of Danville; and his best friends, Rusty Clark & Daniel McIntyre. He was preceded in death by: his father, Claude Sr.; his son, Bruce Rossiter; his paternal & maternal grandparents; and his step-father, Dean W. Craig. Roy had served his country in the US Army and was known to all as a "Jack-of-all-trades." He enjoyed working on cars. He also enjoyed racing cars, demo derbies, and going bow hunting. He loved spending time with family, especially his grandkids. A celebration of Roy's life will be held at 1:00pm, Monday, October 5, 2015, at Sunset's Houghton-Leasure Funeral Home, Georgetown, with Dean High officiating. Visitation will be 2:00pm-6:00pm, Sunday, October 4, 2015, at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest in Georgetown Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Dornblaser Post #203.
