Roy D. Jones

Roy D. Jones 61 of Danville passed away at 9:55 p.m. Friday April 8, 2005 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He was born September 5, 1943 in Danville the son of Finnard W. and Lillie Ross Jones. Surviving are two sons Steve ( Melissa) Custer, Travis Jones Both of Danville, two daughters Amber (Brian) Carpenter, Autumn Jones both of Danville, two brothers Larry (Randi) Jones of Danville, Clarence Jones of Shingle, California , four sisters Ella Mae Warner of Cypress California. Dorothy Loden of Clinton,Ind, Shirley Bandstra of Calumet, Ill, Caroline Wolf of Lawrenceville Ill, four grandchildren Christian and Andrew Custer McBride, Annabella Carpenter and Bryanna Jones all of Danville. Roy was preceded by his parents and two brothers Charles and Robert Jones. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1960 to 1964 and later worked for General Motors in Tilton and retired after 30 years of service. Roy loved to read, play video games, taking drives and spending time with his family and grandkids.
