Roy 'Buddy' L. Slevin

Roy 'Buddy' L. Slevin, 63, of Hoopeston, passed away on January 17, 2019 at OSF Medical Center in Urbana.

He was born on January 25, 1955 in Danville, the son of Roy Tilson and Virginia Dare (Maiden) Slevin.

Roy will be deeply missed by his children; Wayne (Gina Acosta) Slevin, Gary (Autumn Cope) Slevin and Virginia (Aaron) Williams, siblings; Quentin Slevin, Kathy Dillon, Karen Kight, Sherrill Whorrell, Porter (Kristin) Slevin, grandchildren; Caitlin (Keyshawn) Slevin, Kristen Slevin, Caleb Slevin, Tyler Slevin, Nathan Slevin, Aaron Williams II, Hannah Slevin, Isaac Williams, Devin Slevin, Samantha Slevin, Andrew Slevin, Kia Slevin, Korra Slevin and great granddaughter, Paisley Taylor.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Rusty Slevin and Steven Foss.

Roy enjoyed fishing, collecting eagles, rock and roll music, watching the Chicago Bears and especially loved spending time with his kids and grandkids. They were his life.

Per Roys wishes he will be cremated. A private family visitation will be held at a later date at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville.
