Roy Bruce Mason

Roy Bruce Mason, 76, of Danville, died at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, August 3, 2006 at his home. Roy was born on October 14, 1929 in Lansing, Michigan, the son of Arthur Kelly and Florence Marie (Graham) Mason. He is survived by his three daughters- Esther K. Mason, Lorretta (Miles) Whorrall, Kay (Don) Griffith all of Danville; one sister- Faith (Don) Garnett of Melon, Wisconsin; one ex-wife- Sandy Rainer of Georgetown; nine grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, one sister and one brother. Roy graduated from high school in Michigan. He worked at Red Top Cab Company in Danville until he retired in 1985. Roy loved watching NASCAR and his favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt. He enjoyed looking at classic cars. He enjoyed spending his time traveling, reading, and watching T.V. He liked going to flea markets. Roy loved to spend his time with his children and grandchildren. He was a member of Abundant Life Church in Danville. Graveside services for Roy Bruce Mason will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 7, 2006 at Sunset Memorial Park, with Rev. James Ford officiating. Memorials may be made to Sunset Memorial Park to go towards the purchase of a grave marker for Roy. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center is in charge of arrangements.
