Rosie I. Harrell

Eugene, Ind. -- Rosie I. Harrell, 81, of Cayuga, Indiana, passed away at 6 p.m. EDT Friday, April 24, 2009 at her residence in Eugene. She was born July 20, 1927, in Chrisman, Illinois, the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Lowery Edwards. She married Howard Leon Harrell on October 2, 1947 in Crawfordsville, Indiana. He preceded her in death on May 25, 1999. Survivors include: one grandson, Tim(Cara)Harrell of Eugene, Indiana; four great granddaughters, Toni(Cory)Qundrum of Paris, Illinois; Britney(George Miller)Harrell of Kingman, Indiana; Tosha(James)Mannin of Ridge Farm, Illinois and Riley(Brock)Deffenbaugh of Danville, Illinois; three great great grandchildren, Gracie Anne, Braxton Dale and Lucas Cole; two sisters, Iva Kanzler of Bullhead, Arizona and Ilene Van Pelt of Covington, Indiana. She is preceded in death by one son, Stanley; two brothers and one sister. Rosie worked as a finisher at General Electric in Danville, Illinois, retiring in 1978. She attended the Eugene United Methodist Church. Rosie enjoyed spending time with her family. Andy Spencer; Burial: Sugar Grove Cemetery in rural Chrisman, Illinois; Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. EDT Monday, April 27, 2009 at the funeral home.
