Tipton, IN- Rosetta E. Davis, 88, of Tipton, IN, formerly of Catlin died at 7:15 PM on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. She was born on August 16, 1922 in Buffalo, IA to John B. and Selma Ann Sedam Kane. She married Lawrence M. Davis on September 25, 1940 in Danville. He preceded her in death. Surviving are one daughter, Judy (Ronnie) Graham of Catlin; son EB (Martha) Davis of Tipton, IN; 2 grandsons Bobby and John Davis, who she raised as her own children; 14 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren; as well as many friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, 2 daughters, a son, 4 brothers, and 2 sisters. Rosetta was a line worker for several years at Peterson Filling, but was mostly a homemaker. She was a Jehovahs Witness and enjoyed her weekly phone conversations from the church. She also liked flower gardening, reading, puzzle books, and especially loved spending time with her family and friends. A memorial service for Rosetta Davis will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the chapel mausoleum in Sunset Memorial Park in Danville. Edward Lovett will officiate. Per Rosettas wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center, A Life Celebration Home in Danville is in charge of arrangements.
