Rosetta Brown

Rosetta A. Brown, age 81, of Americus, Georgia, formerly of Danville, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home in Americus. She was born August 25, 1928 in Illiopolis, IL the daughter of Herbert D. and Bertha Helen (Roberts) Miller. Rosetta married Harold A. Brown on June 17, 1951. He preceded her in death on December 7, 2007. She is survived by two sons: Gary D. Brown of Leesburg, Georgia, David H. Brown of Clearwater, Florida; one brother: Carl W. Miller of Mahomet, IL; one sister: Barbara J. Rudd of Springfield, Virginia; and seven grandchildren: Jason, Keri, Joshua, Cody, Lindsey, Michelle, and Christina. Rosetta was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son: Robert D. Brown, and two brothers: Ralph R. and Wayne E. Miller. Rosetta graduated from Illiopolis High School. She worked as an office clerk in the auto industry. She worked for Koehn Motors for ten years and then spent ten years working for Win C Smith. Rosetta loved to read and enjoyed crocheting. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Central Christian Church of Danville. A celebration of life graveside service will be held for Rosetta Brown at 10 am on Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Sunset Memorial Park in Danville.
