Rosemary Wheeler

Rosemary Wheeler, born Rosemary Ruggieri, 84, passed away on April 7, 2022 at her home in Danville. She was born in Rockville, Indiana on February 14, 1938. When Rosemary was a young girl, her father passed away leaving her in the care of her Aunt Ida. Her aunt raised her in Rockville and she graduated from Rockville High School with the Class of 1956. In her younger years she enjoyed a multitude of sports, including volleyball, softball, and basketball. She also enjoyed bowling in her earlier years.

Rosemary always had a love for horses and took the first opportunity to purchase one of her very own the minute she was old enough. She enjoyed raising, riding, showing, and jumping horses. She kept horses up until the age of 83 when they finally became too hard for her to care for. Rosemary not only had a love for horses, but for all animals and she almost always had a schnauzer dog companion.

Rosemary was a very hard worker and was known to be stubborn every now and then. She worked as a purchase agent at Tee Pak for 45 years before finally retiring.

Rosemary will be missed by her daughter Linda (Rick) Blough of Danville, her brother Michael Ruggieri of Indianapolis, 3 nieces, a great-niece and great-nephew. She is preceded in death by her father, Michael Ruggieri, Aunt Ida Moneymaker, and her sister-in-law Phyllis Ruggieri. She will be missed by many and always remain in our hearts.
