Rosemary Varner, 79, of Danville, Illinois passed away on October 16, 2010 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. Rosemary was born September 10, 1931 in Newport, Indiana daughter of Fred and Grace (Anglemeyer) DeMotte. She married Howard Varner on February 3, 1951 at the Lincoln United Methodist Church in Danville. He survives along with two sons: Lindsay (Marie) Varner of St. Augustine, Florida and their children: Nathaniel (Megan Stratton) Varner, Luke Varner, Autumn (Gerald) Haley, Carrie Kiser & George Lloyd all of St. Augustine, Fl, and Terri (Jessie) Frey of San Diego, CA; and Kevin (Dawn) Varner of Danville, Illinois and their children: Brandon (Jordan) Varner, Bryson Varner, and Kaylea Varner all of Danville, IL; three brothers: Tom, Freddie, and Chuck DeMotte; two sisters: Marilyn (Walter) Nixon and Brenda Bracken; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother. Rosemary was a 49 graduate of Georgetown High School and was a dedicated and loving homemaker. She was a member of Ridgeview Baptist Church in Danville for 15 years. Rosemary enjoyed rummaging, mushroom hunting, and cooking. A Celebration of Rosemarys Life will be held at 10:00 am, Wednesday October 20, 2010 at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center, a Life Celebration Home 3940 N. Vermilion St. Danville, IL. Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Hicks Cemetery in Perrysville, Indiana.
