Covington, Ind. - Rosemary Stonecipher, 92, of Covington, passed away at 7:42 p.m. EST Friday, February 17, 2017 at Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health in Crawfordsville, Indiana. She was born January 31, 1925 in Clinton, Indiana, the daughter of the late Lewis Malcolm and Viola (Nickle) Black. Rosemary married Robert L. Stonecipher on August 16, 1947 in Crawfordsville, Indiana. He preceded her in death on March 26, 1990. Survivors include her son, Bill (Janet) Stonecipher of Covington, Indiana; three grandchildren, Jason (Melissa) Stonecipher; Amy (Rob) King and Erin (Dan) Poll; five great grandchildren, Aubrey, Micah and Reagan Stonecipher; Emma Poll and Ethan King. Rosemary was preceded in death by her daughter, Janice Kay Stonecipher and brother, Malcolm Black. Rosemary was a homemaker. She was a life member of the First Church of Christ and Friendship Circle Center, both in Covington. Rosemary was a 1943 graduate of Perrysville High School. She enjoyed working on puzzles and spending time with her family. Funeral services: 3 p.m. EST Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the First Church of Christ, 615 5th Street, Covington, Indiana 47932; Officiating: Eddy Jones; Burial: Mount Hope Cemetery in Covington, Indiana; Visitation: 12:30 p.m. EST until time of services on Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at the First Church of Christ. Contributions may be made to the Friendship Circle Center, 1307 Pearl Street, Covington, Indiana 47932 or to the First Church of Christ. DeVerter Funeral Home in Cayuga, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
