Danville Rosemary Songer - January 20, 1943 March 21, 2023

Our loving mother and grandma has passed away after a second battle with Cancer.

She loved playing Bunco and B.I.N.G.O. with her family and friends. She worked as a home heath aid for Songer Homecare. Rosemary loved taking care of others, was a wonderful cook, who prepared amazing meals, and is known for her famous coleslaw.

Survivors include her children, Rose (Tom) Hardesty, Timothy Alan Hood, Brian (Kealey) Bird and Orval (Tia) Meeker, 19 grandchildren and 44 great grandchildren and 7 great great-grandchildren.

Rosemary is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Ethel Songer one son, Earl Robert Hood and three brothers, George, Bob and Lee.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Sunset Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Danville, Illinois, 3940 N Vermilion St. Danville, Illinois, 61834. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 PM Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at the funeral home.
