Rosemary Hembrey, 81, of Danville, died at 3:50 pm on Sunday, July 9, 2006, at her residence. Rosemary was born November 13, 1924, in Danville, Illinois the daughter of Byron L. and Mary Joy Baird Burns. She married Joe Hembrey on February 16, 1946 at St. Patricks Catholic Church by Father Cleary. He survives. Also surviving are three daughters: Cheri Hembrey of Danville, Kathy Hembrey of Tilton, and Julie Rose (Ric) of Mahomet. Two grandchildren: Jena and Brandon Rose. Sister-in-law: Verda Hembrey of Indianapolis and several nieces and nephews. Rosemary was a 1943 graduate of Danville High School and later worked for Lakeview Hospital as a TV Hostess from 1965 until retiring in 1983. She loved playing cards and her flower gardens. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and American Legion Post # 210 Auxiliary. A celebration of Rosemarys life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday July 12, 2006 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. John Prather officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Tuesday evening at Sunset Funeral Home & Cremation Center. There will be a private burial at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church & Carle Hospice in Danville.
