Rosemarie Shirley (Vogel) Woodyard, 83, of Clinton, IN, formerly of Ridge Farm, passed away at 8:12pm, Sunday, November 25, 2012, at Clinton Gardens, Clinton, IN. She was born on March 25, 1929, in Danville, IL, the daughter of Robert Edwin and Rosalin Rosie' {Parzatka} Vogel. She was united in marriage to James Lewis Woodyard until his passing in 1975. She is survived by: her daughters, Dede Whiteman of Ridge Farm & Chere (Steven) Pearson of Clinton, IN; her granddaughter, Jamie Lynne Whiteman of Ridge Farm; her brother, Raymond (Mary) Vogel of Westville; her nieces, Ramona (Jeff) Davis of Indianapolis, IN, Melissa (Skip) Behm of St. Charles, & Leslie (Greg) Henry of Chrisman; her nephew, Kirk (Karla) Woodyard; and her sister-in-law, Mary D. Woodyard of Chrisman. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her son, James Jimmy' Holden Woodyard; her brother-in-law, Harry Babe' Woodyard; and her niece, Mary Vogel. Shirley worked as a telephone operator for many years. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Westville, Westville American Legion Auxiliary, the Ridge Farm Women's Auxiliary, & the Tournament Bowler Association. She was most notably the first women to serve on the Ridge Farm School Board. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30am, Saturday, December 1, 2012, at St. Mary's Church, Westville, with Father Timothy Sauppe officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the Church. As per her wishes, she was cremated. Memorial donations may be given in her name to an animal shelter of donor's choice.
